A Turning Point

Today I reached a milestone in aging.

I bought my first pair of over the counter reading glasses.

I knew this day was going to come and I knew that being in my 40's it was coming sooner rather than later.

I had tried on a few pairs about a year ago but the lowest strength was still too much.. not the case now.

It's amazing how you fool yourself that you can see fine. Not having enough light is a strong sign you may need a little help in the reading of small print. The channel guide on the 65" tv being a bit fuzzy and the act of bringing things closer to your face so you can read them may also be signs... LOL

I remember being a kid, helping my mother at the store read the fine print on the labels. Her telling me that it would be me someday. Hello.... She was right, the day has arrived.

I plan to make an appt with the eye doc. We have free vision with Handsome medical plan so I might as well take advantage of it. Never hurts to get a professional opinion.

Here's to growing older and being glad I'm allowed the privilege.

Ahhh, it's not so bad. Just make sure to get some really cute ones. I have red ones that have rhinestones in the corners. And my favorite pair has a frame with a colorful 60s type print on it!
