After 2 weeks of working my shift and my co-workers shift I'm finally enjoying my normal day off. It feels good to be home getting chores done. While I didn't care for working so much I'll be liking my paycheck when it arrives. The extra hours helped a lot, this will probably be the biggest check I've gotten since starting with Hallmark over a year ago. As a rule, summer is our slow time so I'm sure starting now I can look forward to 9 hour weeks. Perfect! After being so busy, being a little slow is just my speed.
Our hot weather has arrived. Today we are suppose to reach 99. Yikes. I have already taken the needed precautions by closing up and turning on the air. I knew we were going to need it when the thermostat jumped 2 degrees in about 5 minutes. I halted the heating process on the inside at least. Outside I'm sure is still steadily climbing. I gave all my outside plants a good drink this morning so all is good. I also adjusted the sprinklers to twice a day. I have a feeling the heat is here to stay for a while. By the time September rolls around fall will be very welcome.
